The Clockmakers Dream wins at Amarcort International Film festival Rimini (Italy)

The Clockmakers Dream wins the grand Jury Prize Best short film at the Amarcort International Film festival Rimini (Italy). 

Amarcort is part of the AFIC (Associazione dei Festival Cinematografici Italiani) and FEDIC (Federazione Italiana dei Cineclub). In attendance Jury president Lars Henrik Director of Oberhausen Shortfilm Festival, Tony Palas filmmaker, Director of The Malta International TV short film festival, praised the short for it’s originality, treatment and story. Also on Jury were Gianluca Castellini, film critic and Artistic Director of Forli International Film Festival Sedicicorto, and Andrzej Roman Jasiewicz, film producer, writer, director.

The festival now in it’s 9th year, in tribute to filmmaker Federico Fellini (Amacord).  and his home town Rimini. With screenings and exhibitions and workshops taking place through out the city for the 7 days.  This is the 6th International Award for the Clockmakers Dream in the past week having also winning multiple accolades at the 14th Monaco International Film Festival, for : Best Arthouse, Best animation, Best Costume, Best Narration, Best Editing.

 
Commenting on the film’s recent success Cashell Horgan Director/writer said, “ It’s great to see the film doing so well both at home and abroad the accolades are in recognition to the cast and crew who dedicated so much of their time and energy to the project over the last year.”

The clockmakers dream was funded by Behind the scenes and Limerick City Council Executive producer Ronan Cassidy, is a live action fantasy/art-house short, written/directed by Cashell Horgan, starring Joe Mullins (Pilgrim Hill), and narrated by Jared Harris (Fringe, Mad Man, Sherlock Holmes, Lincoln.) Produced by Linhong Yang of Made Image films
